Hilda was employed from February 1978 until her retirement in February 2003 and a Senior Midwife/Coordinator/Team Leader on the Delivery Suite and acted as a mentor for junior staff in a multi-disciplinary team

She was in the Health Service for 25 years full-time until she retired but then returned to work.
